I a curious if it is posibble to install a switch to have the backup camera come on while driving. Lets put out heads together on this. Any wireing diagrams that show where this is located to override?

was thinkin about it. there is a reverse input on the camera contorl box. Just haven't got around to tryin it.

The Pic above shows the Rearview camera control unit signal.

Someone supposedly tried this last year and it wasn't enough. It looks like signal to the Display control unit should be triggered, shown here (follow backup relay signal to "D" and then to page 2) :

It also leads to the Navi (and of course the backup lights):
