I have been inquiring around about the proper exhaust thickness to use with a flowmaster muffler and have been hearing going with 3" piping reduces backpressure causing a loss in power through RPM range. Eliminating the stock resonator and rear muffler and replacing with a transverse flowmaster while keeping the standard 2.5" piping sounds like it would relieve plenty of exhaust restriction without having to use a 3" pipe. Any thoughts? going to be doing an exhaust this weekend.
