My other vehicle door's lock automatically once i get up to speed (after 25MPH) I skimmed through the owners manual and didnt see this feature. Someone tell me i missed it....

I asked the dealer the same question and they said that, the auto lock feature is not avaliable on the FX.

Correct. We don't have that. For most people, it's a love it or hate it feature; you can't please everybody. However, I would think it would not have been too difficult to at least include this as part of the Tech package and make it selectable in the Vehicle Settings menus.

Yeah I like that feature too, I have it in my mercedes and for a while got used to it. Well maybe they will do more improvent in future models.

Doror locks after parking?

Arn't the doos supose to auto lock after parking your car? I see a selection in the menu for a time period to lock but when i go back to check my doors they are unlocked. Anyone else have this problem?

That has been a big area of confusion. You are referring to the atuo-lock feature which should be called the auto-RElock feature. This is a feature that automatically re-locks the doors after the specified period of time if they are unlocked (intentionally or accidentally) via the keyfob after they are initially locked and a door is not opened.

So you can't just walk away and expect the doors to lock by them self... That is VERY misleading! What is the point in having auto-Relock without auto-lock???

Correct. The only purpose this feature serves is to re-lock the doors if you accidentally hit the unlock button while walking away from the car after you've already locked them. I had auto-lock on my Honda as part of the alarm system and it seriously spoiled me. You just don't want to leave your keys in the car, though. I can't think of any cars that have auto-lock as an OEM feature; it's typically an alarm feature.

I had autolock feature on my old bimmer, but I added improvents on it but closing all windows and sunroof 30 seconds after the doors are shut. Can still remember the day I dropped my key in the seat and left it was not fun.
