Anyone interested in buying a Nav-TV unit?

There's a group buy going on right now for a flat rate of $480+$15 shipping if there are 5 or more buyers.

The AVElectronic Navigation TV Tuner and New-Navigation Video Switcher systems upgrade any factory Navigation Display into a Multimedia Display. Nice! But I'm not sure about the screen quality since Infiniti's screen is low resolution compared to Acura and Lexus's.

Well here's m777erlin's (Evolution Autosports) post on my350z.com:

"Once installed, it allows factory Navigation Screen to display up to 4 external Video Sources. The system support up to 4 Audio/Video inputs (VCR/DVD/Camera/Game Consoles, etc) and 4 Audio/Video outputs (1 Custom Navigation Interface plus 3 extra LCD monitors outputs). Each of the 4 AV outputs can independently select/watch any of the 4 AV sources. With a flip of a switch, AV1 can select between Navigation map or our Navigation Video Switcher source to be shown on the Navigation Screen. The navigation system still works in the background when you switch to our system (Navigation Voice guidance will come on when it's supposed to). A small wireless RF remote control is use for the AV sources selection.

The TV Tuner version has been discontinued.

BTW. I heard they have a new DVD player with built in Tunner. Since they discontiued the TV tunner navi switch, I am interested in the DVD/TV tunner as well. Are you guys gonna do a GB for that as well or maybe we should just include the DVD/TV tunner with this buy to whom ever is interested. Just a though, let me know what you think.

can a rearview camera be integrated into this tuner???

so, as to switch from nav. to dvd (ro whatever) and then switch to rearview???

Yes, the AV-Electronics unit has back-up camera capability (they sell the cameras as well). The Nav-TV unit has a wire that connects to something (didn't look into it, since I didn't use that wire) and the display automatically switches to the camera view when shifterd into reverse, just like the FX Tech. The only catch is that you have to turn on the Nav-TV unit via the remote each time you start the car for it (any any of it's other features) to work.

AV also sells a license plate camera which I think is pretty cool. I'm not to crazy on how it looks but I hear it functions well. I plan on getting one for my G35. More information regarding the AV product line is available on their website - http://www.avelectronic.com/products.htm
