I think I need to have it done, but am dreading taking it in. I looked over the ITB and it doesn't look like there's any way to do it without loosing your seat presets. It took me forever to get my seat just right and I know I'd never be able to get it back exactly the same if they lost my preset. Any suggestions?

DRIVER'S SEAT BOTTOM FEELS LOOSE
<snort>

He should do some squats at the gym and/or get a "Buns of Steel" tape, then!

Had mine done a couple of weeks ago when I took her in for the first oil change. The work order said they replaced the "left Front Seat Adjuster (Adjuster Assembly - 84750-CG010)

No more rocking since.... 8)

I mentioned it to my dealer in December when I had my 7500 mile service and according to him, they ordered the seat assembly then... but it still wasn't here when I checked last week. BTW, my rocking seat didn't start until I had over 6000 miles.

Sounds like it, though the problem is supposed to be fixed in the '04s, so you may have a hard time making a claim to your dealer on it. The ITB is here: http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownership/Bulletins/Infiniti/2003/ITB03-070.htm and applies to specific VIN ranges of '03 models only.

Not an '04, but I just had mine fixed a few weeks ago. I had to live with the **** rocking for over a year, and I'm SO happy that it's finally fixed . :)

I had my rails replace twice, and the second time they loosened up again, the service tech managed to fix the problem.

The second time it was replaced the tech scratched my aluminum door sill and snapped the bolt covers for the seat. I complained to the dealership and they are replacing my entire doorsill trim and rubber. Apparently a notice has been issued to techs to use a partner to remove the seats due to the weight of the seats. Alot of dealerships were replacing doorsills because of the one-man operation pulling out the seats...

mushutofu, where did you get the chair 'fixed'? Serramonte? I'm getting that slight rock now as well.

my rocking is coming back again :shock: just had the rails reaplaced last month! the only thing i can think of is that i trade the car off with my fiance every few days and her seat settings are completlely different than mine. both are up high though.

its just a bit of clicking now, but i might have to build some of my own bushings for this baby and put them in the frame.

time to check out the tech manuals!
