What kind of hit do you think I will take trading an 03 for an 04? 03 has 4800 miles w/prem. pkg, wood kit and is in perfect condition (albeit the bubble seat that is getting warrantied). Will get VPP pricing on 04.

Just want the new model!

ONLY 3000K total, out the door???

id do it, as the options b/w the 03/04 would likely be close to that, NTM you get another new car, NTM the higher resale value, NTM then we could swap wheels.........
Well, I committed to purchasing the 04 FX35. It will be DG/grahite.
It wasn't my first choice in colors (wanted Willow interior). Does anyone have this color combo? Also, why did they keep the headliner tan in this combo?
I have heard they made it tan so that the interior didn't feel like a cave. The brick interior has a black headliner that doesn't feel enclosing to me though. Anyway, congrats! DG/Graphite looks awesome. You planning on adding a wood kit?

Nice, congrats! :) Watch the leather! ;)
No Wood kit for now. Two reasons-it's going to be hard to match something with Graphite but also, and most important, my wife already is P!ssed!
I probably shouldn't have done this, but I send Danny at Grubbs an email stating that a local dealer beat his VPP price deal and trade-in by a whopping $3800 plus TTL. The big 3 here in Dallas (Sewell,Crest and Grubbs) have no love loss for each other. They will not trade or swap vehicles with each other. They almost have to go out of state to get a vehicle they don't stock or have in the pipeline.
Well for low balling you almost 4k, I say why not let him know? Good for you Fxcellent. I just can't believe they wont swap cars with each other... that's pretty petty all things considered.

At some point she will stop being p!ssed (we hope) so now that you have it to do all over again, would you install the side moldings again? I ask because I'm still on the fence.
Yes, I would do the moldings again. I think they look good on the FX and breaks those big doors and gives it some more definition.
I'll probably do it in the next week or two as well as get some aluminum pedals.
Are you getting them from <gasp> Grubbs?
Probably, do other dealers carry them? Grubbss is probably cheapest. The people that rave about their deals must not have a clue what a deal is. Maybe there service is better.

They gave me a price for the trade and the new 04 and were not even once willing to make any concessions. Take it or leave it. Told me to try to sell my trade outright. Well I left it alright. Business must be good for them.

Plus the posts on FA about them not responding to emails and calls is accurate. I had numerous emails and calls that were never returned. The only thing they said was that we have soooo many emails sometimes it takes awhile to get back to you. Right. There just looking at themselves in the mirror all day.
****. Well I got a set of 20"s for $620 shipped. That was one **** of a deal and I was extremely happy about that. But I have to agree on the returning e-mails.... I emailed him about VPP pricing when I first was in the market and he never returned my emails.. so I went with a local dealer and am very happy with the deal.
Theie parts department is first rate however. I would order from them anytime. I've also used there service department and things run very smooth. Not a lot of waiting around.
