TO Infi charges ~$500, and I'll need it before my first year is up, I'm sure.

OK, going for 30K service tomorrow. I am sure it will be over $600 since I guess my brakes need to be replaced. I expericened some serious steering vibration when braking at highway speed...probably warped rotors. Any chance they are covered under warranty? I have this since my last visit (17k) but I dont have time until now.

resurfaced rotors

I was complaining about brake noise at 19K, when I took it in for maintenance. They resurfaced my rotors and replaced the front pads, on the house! 30K may be pushing it though. There is precedence. Good luck.

I just came back dropping off my car for service and I cant believe the service advisor tried to charge me $85 to put in a new cabin filter! I told him mine is '03 model and it is not a standard item and only '04 model comes standard. But he insisted that I was wrong and gave me an attitude that I know nothing about cars. Probably he is too embarrass to admit he was wrong.

I told him about the brake vibration and told me probably warped rotors. It will be $250 for complete front brakes job.

Are the rotors on the FX turnable? While it's not the best solution it can be done by a local service center like Firestone for about $50. Why it's not the best solution is that it in effect takes away material from the rotor. The less material, the less it can dissipate heat. The less heat it can dissipate, the easier it wraps. Kind of a catch 22 really.

Of course if you can't turn the rotors, this is mute point. I just hate to see you pay for a complete brake job when the pads could be in fine shape. Turning the rotors will really be a stop gap until you really needed a full brake job.

Just a thought...
