magneride shocks - how are they activated?

I want the option of hearing a bit more exhaust note on my fx50s

I'm toying with the idea of installing an exhaust cutout that runs muffler delete and it would be nice and clean if it could run off of the Sport Suspension switch in the cockpit. Does anyone know exactly how the shocks are switched from normal stiff to sport stiff? is it just a 12v on/off signal cable running into the shock? I am not familiar with dynamic shocks so I have a very simple idea of how this might work, I may be way off base.
