Auto Fold mirror module (installation)

I recently installed an auto fold module for the folding mirrors. The mirrors now close when the car is locked and open when unlocked. It was a pretty easy installation and did not involve any cutting of wires. The unit comes with a harness that connects between the factory connector and the mirror switch. There are three wires that must be connected, constant 12V, lock signal, and unlock signal. I pulled the 12V from the fuse for the power outlet on the kick panel fuse box. I used the violet (lock), and green (unlock) wires from M119 at the BCM. The first pic is what comes in the box. You will need a few wire taps for the lock and unlock signals, or simply splice the wires in. I used a fuse low profile fuse tap to get power.

Hi Denis,

Looking for something like this - can you post more details as to where you got it? What year is your FX?

I've had a few PMs asking where I got the module. I don't have enough posts to send a reply, so here is the link for the main module. The connectors and fuse extender can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
