Welcome Lights

We just purchased a 2011 FX35 with only 52k miles in December. About a month ago the welcome lights came on by themselves. We hit the lock button and they go off, only to come back on within 20 minutes. We hit the off button on the map lights to keep from draining the battery, but the puddle lights remain on. Took it to my mechanic and he replaced the overhead switch for the lights. Problem still was there. He suggested taking it to the Infiniti dealer. The dealer has had it for 3 days and still cannot figure out the issue. There is no aftermarket addons and nothing getting wet. I have the car back right now as we needed it for a road trip. As soon as we get back it's going in the shop. Any ideas? Anyone seen this before?

Did you try the welcome light deactivation procedure in the owner's manual? Also, consider changing the battery in your key fob. A low fob battery can cause weird issues.
