I just put on LED's today, BLUE, I cant wait until it gets dark to see how they look. I wanted to get something that wouldn't be too bright but still had a hit of blue to match my 15000k's.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWNX%3AIT

These are the 7443's I bought. Very cheap!

Is this for your blinker lights or dtrl's?

i have the same ones and they've lasted for about a year now. They are not bright like bulbs and the light is very isolated (their in my dtrl). The connections suck and took forever to get it to work properly. Going to take them out when the new dtrls come in...

Mine slipped right in, perfect fitment. They are definitely blue and match my HID's. They are not too bright and not too rice either  , perfect combo.

That's only 9 leds per bulb. All directional. You guys happy with that?

Just a small update. My driver side DTRL bulb was kind of acting up.
In DTR mode would be off but when the headlights were on, it was working again(one stage wasn't working).

Pulled the bulb out and noticed that bulb socket melted partially. Inside the bulb i found nicely fried resistor.
Surprisingly it was still resisting :p at 170 ohm.

So, i soldered two 1/2 W 360 ohm resistor in parallel to split the power dissipated(measured power draw was 0.72W @12V).
Other 10ohm resistor was intact.

Tested the bulb on the power supply and both stages are working OK.
However, when i put it back in the socket, only 1 stage works(12V).

Maybe i have partially blown DTRL fuse but it's throwing me off since i was measuring 12V and 7V respectively from the socket when i was checking the voltage from the socket.

Got everything sorted out. I think it was my mistake that caused overheating and partial failure of one bulb.
It's like new again and didn't have to spend any monies

Hi everyone,

Suuuper new to all of this so please bare with me.

I'm just confused because all the threads i've read, it says you need 7443. but bokitos ebay link ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Super-Wh ... 6589wt_909 ) says 7440 and for 350z. I'm guessing this doesnt matter?

I'm just waiting for a reply or any help so I can click that buy now button.

p.s. does majority agree that these would be the best bulbs for the fx?

Thanks in advance for everyones help.

No, i'm running 6000K. Even with stock it was matching better than crappy stock bulbs.

was just wondering what kind 6000k kit you have, and possibly a link to the site. (also do you have fogs aswell?)

Appreciate your help.

Matt

I got the xenon bulbs from the same seller as well. 6000k D2S style bulb. No other kit required.

Didn't do anything with the fog lights since i really use it only when it's foggy outside(few times a year).

Hey guys just a quick update,

One of my stages is not working in only one of my DTRLs. In the day time when no headlights are not on they work fine (which I think is stage 1, the brightest of the two stages). But as soon as I go to turn my headlights on (stage 2, the dimmer stage) one of the Bulbs does not work. I contacted iJDMtoy and I have to send them back, in the original pacakging and wait 3-5 days for them to process the warranty claim (where they will check if they are going to give me a new pair or not.) Then they will hopefull send me a new pair. This is kind of a drag but hopefully everything works out just fine. I would will take some video or something to show you, but I'm going to have to learn how to upload first. I wonder if it is something to do with the 54 count of the smd, can't remember where but I remember hearing anything 40 or under gives alot less problems, guess we will see.

Matt

Matt, its exact same problem i had. Its due reverse polarity on the bulb.
That's reason i went extra mile to include socket pinout and way of operates according to the stage in case someone else runs into same issue.

If you have independent 12 power source, you can confirm that both stages on the bulb are working ok.
