But yeah... apparently, getting H&R springs improves handling AND ride comfort... He came by ambulance from St. Mary’s. Last night was the best he’s had since we landed here. We don’t know the reason for this…possibly the Lyrica which was started yesterday afternoon? This is the best he’s looked since a week ago Tuesday. His nausea has dissipated almost completely and he needed no pain meds overnight.

Unlike what a celiac plexus block is normally done for, the long lasting results for Dave are unknown because the source of his pain is unknown. It is kind of a shot in the dark.

The procedure went well. He had to stay for a little longer than normal after the procedure to get his blood pressure back up. It was down to 70 on the top number after the procedure. He thinks the vise like feeling has diminished some. He ate some toast, cookies, and had two coffees….. while getting additional IV fluids there.

He got back to St. Marys around 2 PM. Dizziness and shortness of breath go with this procedure for 24 hours or so. He has that. The pain guys were in to check on him. If Lyrica had some impact on improvement, they see no reason to change from it. No other new drugs were offered right now. Dr. Allen’s (our surgeon) resident was in. He is basically just a monitor of the situation because we were admitted under the thoracic surgery discipline from the ER. They (surgery guys) made it clear early on that they did not feel this was their battle. Surgically, their work shows good by every measurable evaluation. In other words we are being ‘hosted’ by the thoracic surgical unit in Francis 5C. The different modalities have come here to evaluate Dave, but all drug or regimen changes recommended by the various disciplines must be stamped by Dr. Allen’s department….which they are doing so far. The surgical resident comes in twice daily, but they are not part of any solution to date

Pain Rehab Clinic: A nurse was by from this outpatient department about 4 PM with a pamphlet on the program and to answer questions we may have. Required in person evaluations are booked out to the October/November time frame. The three week program itself is booked out to Dec/Jan. at a cost of $26K. There is a waiting list for cancellations. People come to this specific program from around the world. We may be able to get a phone evaluation in a shorter time frame to apply for candidacy, but that would not get us in until there was room. In reality, should Dave experience what he just did again…..this would not be the answer. This would be a long term approach to chronic unexplainable pain.

Regarding pain and nausea….Dave is still doing well as of this writing. He is still a little dizzy and his blood pressure still a little low …like low 90s over 50/60. He ordered food and drink at 5 PM and has tolerated both so far. One troubling note right now (9PM CST)is his continued lack of wind post procedure. He can’t walk yet without searching for air. They appear hesitant to give Predisone which has always worked before. He is well monitored.

Tonight is huge for progress. We are guardedly optimistic! The last heavy duty pain meds (or any other for that matter) Dave had were just prior to today’s procedure. Other than the post procedure issues we were apprised of and are still experiencing, today is overall his best day in many. With fingers crossed for improved breathing and no further nausea / pain, I sign off.

As someone commented in the link I posted above, the self healing paint does make a noticeable difference if you compare self healing paint side by side with normal paint. Called Infinitipartsusa and spoke to Ken: He didn't have a hitch for 2010 FX35 in stock , but said - he could order one and ship it to me. I tried to clarify and asked him if it would fit a RWD, he didn't think why it wouldn't - then he read the print and it read something like 'made for AWD...blah blah blah...

In his opinion he thinks it would, for that I asked if he had any RWD customers buy it - he did not know. I let him know I"ll be back on forum and check with RWD owners.

So here it is: RWD pals - have any of you put a hitch on. Please mention the year as well.

My Fx is 2010 RWD.

Dat, you do realize that InfinitiPartsUSA.com is Infiniti of Scottsdale, right? Joe and all the guys work in the parts department there. I'm not sure why they told him there is no tow hitch for the RWD FX.

Maveriks, I suggest calling Infiniti of Scottsdale again and ask for Joe Tesensky in parts. Tell him your a member here. There should be a OEM tow hitch for the RWD FX 35 just the same as the AWD FX 35.

But yeah... absolutely NO reason why the OEM hitch would fit an AWD but not a RWD... pretty much everything behind the front axle should be identical in the two... GL with everything and let us know how it works out for you...

Thanks guys. Dat - will call them up and see what they have to say. Unfortunately, the dealer I was referring to in my original post was Sewell in Dallas. I was with them last week for my first service and checked with them on the hitch. as you know from my post.based on info I got from the parts folks, it started going down hill regarding hitch on a 2010 RWD FX35...

You could probably replace the area where your center channel speaker currently occupies... most people that upgrade their stereo's cut the wires to the center anyways so it's not very important... I can see a VERY nice gauge setup mounted there... Pulled the bulb out and noticed that bulb socket melted partially. Inside the bulb i found nicely fried resistor.

So, i soldered two 1/2 W 360 ohm resistor in parallel to split the power dissipated(measured power draw was 0.72W @12V).
Other 10ohm resistor was intact.

Tested the bulb on the power supply and both stages are working OK.
However, when i put it back in the socket, only 1 stage works(12V).

Maybe i have partially blown DTRL fuse but it's throwing me off since i was measuring 12V and 7V respectively from the socket when i was checking the voltage from the socket.


Got everything sorted out. I think it was my mistake that caused overheating and partial failure of one bulb.

I would still keep an eye on it for the next week or two JUST to be sure everything is working properly and there are no leaks or other issues.
