Nope. Have to go aftermarket. There are units out there better than stock, anyway.

alright thanx figured id go aftermaeket anyway i just like the stock factory look. Ill probably take out that "useful" tape deck and put it in there thanks agian for the help.
sorry man, more bad news. The tape deck doesnt come out, its all one unit

Aftermarket Nav can go where the clock is located or you can re-locate the stock screen and replace it with after maket nav.

browse through the Audi/Video section.. there are a lot of people here that are doing the same thing.

Even though the tape deck is all one piece, can you not cut it out? I really don't like it there at all, and I want a DVD drive in place of the tape deck... can it be manually (forcefully, if need be) taken out?

Also, bragerz is looking into Can32 to try and get the original non-tech screen info to a carputer so that you don't need the original screen at all... I'm going to wait on his results to determine what exactly I'm going to do. I like the stock analog clock, and I like its location... it's not THAT hard to look another 10 inches down to see the time. (Plus, it's classy)

Disconnecting the tape deck shouldn't cause any problems to the radio but you're going to run into problems with the rest of the tuner guts. Not only that but the tape opening is also part of the radio/climate controls. Good luck with that attempt.
