Ironchef stereo system upgrade

Well,
I've decided to take the plunge and upgrade the stock Bose system. In my past, I installed complete stereo systems for a local shop while going to college, but like I said, that was in the past! Thankfully, much has improved since then. Speaker wiring harnesses if you know what to look for, 2 Ohm speakers, beautiful amplifiers, and the list goes on.

This project will happen in three stages for me. First, is the replacement of all of the front speakers: Doors and dash. The goal was to maintain the stock sizing, location and no splicing if possible. I was able to source a Nissan wiring harness for all of the dash speakers from Crutchfield. It is item# 12071027. See pics for details. I chose Boston Acoustics S35 speakers for their incrediblly smooth treble. Not harsh at all, crisp vocals. These were a direct bolt in with no modifcation necessary and were a snap with the harnesses.

I'll begin the door speakers tomorrow but I've already gone in there and know that there is no harness for that one. It plugs right into the speaker housing. For the doors I'll be using a set of MB Quart 6.5" RVF-216 speakers with angle adjustable tweeters. I ohm tested these last night and they will be installed in an MDF spacer with a foam baffle and the crossover mounted inside the door.

Second stage will be replacing the rear door speakers and rear pillars as well with MB Quart units. Then, I'll be installing some form of JL Audio amp to run all of the full range speakers.

Finally, stage 3 will be some form of sealed enclosure subwoofer and dedicated JL Audio amplifier. I'm debating on removing the spare and converting to run flats since my stock Goodyears are about toast or to figure something else out. JL has a stealthbox for both the Murano and the G35 coupe that both look promising as possible fitments. Anyone know if these would fit?

Thanks guys. Here's a pic of the completed door speaker. The crossover fits nicely in a stock recess on the door skin and doesn't interfere with the panel when reinstalling it. The sound of the MB Quarts with the Boston's is a tremendous upgrade. The clarity and overall smoothness is far greater, even with the stock amp. Stock, it felt like the center channel was too stong and the imaging was off. Also, it was very muddy. Now, the center Boston provides just the right amount of black hole fill while the left and rights shine. The soundstage is drastically improved so far.

A note of progress:

I just got my JL Cleansweep and JL 300/4 Amplifier. The wiring of the Cleansweep was a breeze thanks to a stock Infiniti FX35/45 manual I have that detailed the wiring diagram. It's mounted in place of the Bose amplifier right under my satellite radio receiver. I'll have the amp set up tomorrow morning and I'll get some pics up of the whole deal.

Is the Cleansweep needed in the FX? Is the signal from the factory head unit flat or equalized?

I can not say with certainty, but all I have to say its "BOSE" and they rarely keep things flat.
