Bubbling Dash Status?

I'm the original owner of a 2004 FX35. My dash started bubbling after the special extended warranty expired. I called Infiniti, but they refused to work with me on resolving the issue. Now my dash is an unsightly mess.

Does anyone know of a class action suit that might bring some relief here? I heard there is one in California and Texas. I live in Minnesota. Are there any options available for me?

Failing that, has anyone found a dash cover that doesn't look crappy?

Also, unless there is a recall, the dealer won't work with you after warranty expiration.

The newest one I know of is for Nissan, in Florida, Jan 2017.
Check here.

You can always start your own.

I have a 2005 that is bubbling around the vents and radio stack.

I got a Coverlay dash cover for my GF FX35/2005. Just from the Texas heat the original dash looked like the worst case of acne you had ever seen, barring some special effects from Walking Dead. The Coverlay is a tight fit around the steering column cluster and at the A pillars. I test fitted it and GF loved it; even though it is not the EXACT color match of the original.

Okay now the hard part..... you have to take it off in order to silicone into place.

2 hour/2 beer job at a leisurely pace in the Texas heat.

and BTW her dash is turning into some kind of soft goo. Don't really understand Infiniti's choice of component composition there, but the Coverlay hides the mess for now.

I'm back.

What color is your dash? Is the Coverlay darker or lighter than the original?

Any chance you could post a photo?
