What Oil does the Infiniti Service Dept use?

For those who take their FX to the Infiniti Service Dept, what kind of oil do they use/recomends? Penzoil, Castrol, ....? I'm just curious... I've used Mobil 1 in the last 20 years(my p-car uses the 0W-40 Mobil 1)

TIA

Mike

I actually called and asked my dealership about what oil to use in my '05 FX 35, service departments' recomendation was "any good quality oil". So from my very first oil change I've been using Mobil 1 5W-30. But I really don't know what they use at the service department.

'05 FX 35 AWD DG/B/Touring/Tow - LMS, K&N drop in, +2, MD 1/2", CF Z engine cover, Stillen STB, UTR cat back, H&R's, drilled & slotted rotors, 20" black ASA's 20x9 fr. with 265/50 Spec-X & 20x10 re. with 295/45 Spec X, black grille, black calipers, matching tints, sport heads & tails, 5K HID heads & 5K HID fogs

My dealer uses Quaker State. Honeslty, oil affects engine performance and longevity so little, I don't mind what they use as long as it is the proper viscosity.

I called my dealer yesterday and asked for a full synthetic old change next week. He said they use Valvoline synthetic. I suppose I will give it a try and see what's it liked.

I bring my own Mobile 1 oil and filter so I don't have to pay dealer markup for those. They charge $17 including labor, misc parts and tax. They also vacuum the interior and optionally wash the car.

This is my first Nissan/Infiniti brand. Seems like they don't have a particular brand of oil that they use... unlike Toyota/Lexus/Porsche uses only their choice/endorsed oil....Hmmmmm
